BIOPROSES PENGURAIAN LIMBAH CAIR BUANGAN INDUSTRI PANGAN DAN NON-PANGAN BERBASIS BIOSURFAKTAN

Biosurfactants are microbial metabolites that may be utilized to replace synthetic chemical surfactant in overcoming the problem of industrial wastewater pollution. Indications presence biosurfactant activity determined through measurement emulsification and enzymatic tested microorganisms on their growth media, which is indicated by decreasing BOD COD media containing material as an inducer added medium. This research was conducted examine several potential isolates produce biosurfactants mixed waste water. The results showed some cultures culture. Trial were able reduce levels (440-1300 mg/l) (1240-1760 samples up low (82 (116 mg/l), respectively, thus it meets requirements established quality standards according Indonesian Standard regarding with respective (50-100 mg/l, 06-6989.9-2004 SNI) (100-250 mg /l, 06-6989.2-2004 SNI).Key words : biosurfactant, emulsification, enzyme, wastewater, BOD, COD.
